The Young Investigators Committee will help you find your way around the congress in terms of logistics and programming. Attending this short gathering will ensure that you don’t miss out on anything highly relevant to trainees and gives you a chance to meet other trainees. Expect an icebreaker game.

Young Investigator Session on Cutting-Edge Technologies

  • This session will focus on developing trends in AI in the field. More details will be posted soon.

  1. Multimodal deep phenotyping of genetically modified pig kidney xenografts transplanted to human recipients (Alexandre Loupy)
  2. AI in cell and organ function: Pancreatic islet (Anna Louise Gloyn)
  3. AI in drug discovery-computer-assisted vaccine development (Torben Schiffner)

Congress Networking Dinner


  • Friday, October 27 | 19:00-22:00
  • Venue: Skybox at Diamondview, 350 10th Avenue, San Diego
  • Ticket cost: $50 for the first 50 Young Investigators (trainees up to Post-Doc level); additional tickets are available at $100
  • Limited to 200 participants due to venue size. All tickets must be purchased pre-congress.

The mission of WIT is to advance and inspire women transplant professionals and to champion issues of sex and gender in transplantation. They aim for worldwide gender equity and inclusiveness in transplantation.

Roslyn B. Mannon, Past Chair of WIT will be attending the session in the gender equity and/or work/life balance roundtable. She will also be available after the session during the young investigator reception to answer your questions and provide further details on the WIT initiative.
